At the 2026 Philanthropy Australia Conference, Benefolk marked a significant moment and a new chapter in how funders can understand the organisations they support at a breakfast side event.

At this breakfast, we introduced two of our new AI-powered capability intelligence tools - Springboard™ and Headwinds™ - to a room of funders and sector leaders.
The idea behind them is simple: better funding decisions start with better insight.
Funders often make significant decisions with an incomplete picture of what is happening in the organisations and communities they support. Where capability is strong. Where pressure is emerging. Where resilience may be under strain. And where targeted capacity-building support could make the greatest difference.
We were joined by Cynthia Scherer from the Anthony Costa Foundation to explore how capability intelligence is already helping inform funding strategies, strengthen relationships with grantees and identify where additional support can be most useful.
For our team, it was a significant milestone. We’re bringing together AI, sector expertise and a deep understanding of organisational capability to give funders a clearer view of what sits behind the work they support.
For those who couldn’t join us this morning, there’s another opportunity coming up at our online event on November 12th, 2026.
